Professor Dato’ Dr. Zul Azhar Zahid Jamal, former VC of UniMAP joins INOR as a Visiting Professor
Please join us in welcoming YBhg. Professor Dato’ Dr. Zul Azhar Zahid Jamal, our newest Visiting Professor in INOR!!
Professor Dato’ Dr. Zul Azhar was an academic staff at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) before continuing his Ph.D studies at the University of Liverpool in the field of Materials Engineering with a specialization in Fabrication and Characterization of Electronic Materials. After graduation, he came back to USM and continued his service until the establishment of UniMAP (previously known as KUKUM) in 2002. Prof. Dato’ Dr Zul Azhar was appointed as the Dean of the School of Microelectronic Engineering, UniMAP from 2002 until 2006. He was then entrusted to hold the position of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation) for 3 years. In 2011, he was appointed as the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic & International). His wisdom has brought him to another achievement by being appointed as the Vice Chancellor of UniMAP, starting from May 2016 until 30 April 2019.
Again, we are honoured to have the well-known Professor to join us here in INOR. His research experience and credibility in different sectors will bring insights and will assist INOR in our aspiration to become a global centre of excellence in multidisciplinary research field of nanotechnology and optoelectronics.
